Fic Masterlist

These are works of fanfiction by Woldy. Almost all of them involve slash or femslash pairings, and many contain adult themes or explicit sexual content - if this is not what you're looking for or reading such material is illegal in your jurisdiction then don't proceed. If this is what you're looking for then enjoy :-). For what it's worth, I've put a * next to my personal favourites.

It should go without saying that I am not JK Rowling, but just in case: I am not JK Rowling! I do not own these characters & am making no profit from writing about them.

Update: This masterlist is no longer being updated and is therefore NOT a complete list of my fics. All the fics I have written since March 2009 (the last time I cross-posted here) can be found on the fic masterlist of my LJ and most of them are also on Archive of Our Own. 'Cos rules are made to be

Title: 'Cos rules are made to be...
Pairing: James/Regulus
Rating: NC-17
Length: 100 words
Summary: For James, it's the lure of the forbidden.
Disclaimer: Not mine & not profiting.
Notes: This is for nk_aoede who asked for James/Regulus back in December - sorry that the fic is so short & took so long!

The Past Echoing Through Our Bloodstreams - betaed & reposted

I originally posted this story back in early 2008 and it's the first fanfic I wrote that was longer than 300 words. At the time I didn't get the fic beta-ed and although there were a bunch of SPAG errors which annoyed readers, I received pretty encouraging feedback. Looking back on it I still like this fic (probably 'cos of all the sex and snark) & so I figured it was worth cleaning it up and reposting it. Many, many thanks to golden_purple18 for beta-ing.

Title:
The Past Echoing Through Our Bloodstreams
Pairing: Pansy/Ginny
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~8800 words
Summary: A one night stand becomes a detente, then perhaps a happy ending. DH compliant, aside from the Epilogue.
Warnings: Explicit girlsex, a touch of bondage and a big side-helping of snark.
Disclaimer: Jo owns these girls, I'm just borrowing them.
Notes: The title is taken from Adrienne Rich's Twenty One Love Poems.

The Risks of Women's Sport

Title: The Risks of Women's Sport
Rating: R
Pairing: Hermione/Luna
Wordcount: 100
Summary: "How on earth does one sprain a thumb?"
Disclaimer: Not mine & not profiting.
Notes: This drabble is not beta-d & I apologise for any mistakes.

The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret

Title: The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
Pairings: James/Sirius/Remus, James/Sirius, implied Remus/Sirius & James/Lily
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~6000 words
Summary: Love is about vulnerability, isn't it? And if the trust is broken – well, that's the risk everyone takes.
Warnings: spoilers for JKR's 800 word prequel, swearing, explicit boysex, mild domination & orgasm denial.
Disclaimer: not mine & not profiting.

Notes:
Written for the hp_unfaithful fest using the prompt 'motorbike'. This fic owes a great deal to Xylodemon's wonderful stories about the Marauders, not least the concept of writing a threesome through switching POVs. I intend the imitation as the sincerest form of flattery. Many thanks to nathaniel_hp for beta-ing this fic.
The title comes from the Queens of the Stone Age song of the same name (listen via youtube). This is fic one of the longest fics I've written and it's about 80% porn *blushes*.

The Line Dividing

Title: The Line Dividing
Rating: PG
Pairing: Morgana/Nimueh
Wordcount: approx 1700 words
Summary: Morgana dreams of a woman in the darkness.
Notes: The fic contains spoilers for entire first series of Merlin. This was written for the primae noctis challenge at merlin_flashfic , and inspired by charmax 's Morgana/Nimueh vid It's Not Over Yet . Many thanks to solar_cat for betaing; all remaining mistakes are entirely my own.

The War on Grammar

Title: The War on Grammar
Rating: PG-13 ish
Pairings: Snape/Lupin, implied Ron/Hermione, Albus/Grindelwald, & Harry/Draco if you squint.
Wordcount: approx 2000 words.
Summary: When a vigilante group try to impose good grammar on the magical public then Harry and Ron are called to investigate.
Warnings: Crack.
Disclaimer: All these characters belong to Jo.
Notes: I think Lynne Truss bears a lot of the responsibility for this fic. That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;-). My own grammar is far from perfect and I probably ought to know better than to stow thrones in my grass house. Many thanks to nuclearsugars[info] for beta-ing; all remaining mistakes are of course my own. Thanks to Dubya (this is only time I'll say that!) for providing so much opportunity for mockery.

"With most wars you can say you've won when the other side are all dead or surrenders. But how is 'terrorism' going to surrender? It's well known, in philological circles, that it is very hard for abstract nouns to surrender. In fact, it's very hard for abstract nouns to do anything at all of their own volition, and hard for even trained philologists to negotiate with them." Warnings: implied femslash, use of the Cruciatus Curse
Disclaimer: these girls belong to Jo.
Notes: Written for [info]la_dissonance[info] for the hpequality [info]fundraiser. She requested a rather dark story where Ginny seduces Pansy. I'm not sure if this counts as dark, but I really hope you like it. Many thanks to cindas [info]for beta-ing this fic.

Huzzah for International Fetish Day!

Today, Jan 16th, is the first ever International Fetish Day which celebrates the BDSM community and all the fun that kink adds to our lives. In keeping with this event, I bring this small offering.

Title:
Beg Me
Rating: NC-17 ish
Pairing: Ginny / you'll have to wait and see.
Wordcount: 100
Summary: Ginny is caught in the dungeons.
Warnings: femslash, bondage, domination, female nudity, implied violence, dubcon.
Disclaimer: Not mine & not profiting. As per LJ's policy, all characters portrayed are 18 or older.
Notes: This drabble is not beta-d. I apologise for any mistakes.

"Please," Ginny whimpered, her head drooping. She hung from the heavy shackles fixed to the dungeon wall, an iron cuff around each wrist.

These chains were Filch's contribution to the reign of terror that Snape and the Carrows wielded over the students. When used properly fear could be a weapon; like a club, like a whip, like a knife.

"Please?" the other figure queried, shoving her up against the stone.

Ginny smelled the stale breath as her captor moved forward, their groin pressed against her naked buttocks.

"Please what?"

"Fuck me, please," said Ginny.

Pansy smirked. "That's what I thought."

Three Reasons, or Maybe Excuses

Title: Three Reasons, or Maybe Excuses
Rating: PG
Pairing: (probably unrequited) Parvarti/Lavender
Wordcount: approx 700 words
Summary:
Three reasons why Parvarti isn't allowed to fancy Lavender.
Disclaimer: Not mine & not profiting.
Notes: This fic is not beta-d, so I apologise for any mistakes. This is my first attempt at a fanfic exploring some of the issues faced by women of colour and/or ethnic minorities in the UK. I've been hesitant about diving into this subject matter because I don't want to over-simplify things, but it also seems weird to me that so few authors explicitly address the intersections between sexuality, gender and ethnicity. Critical comments are welcome, but please be assured I don't wish to offend anyone – in particular, the comment about bisexual girls is intended a wry observation about common uses of the term rather than as an insult to anyone's self-identification.

A Bestiary of Sorts

Title: A Bestiary of Sorts
Rating: PG
Pairing: Ginny/Luna
Word Count: approx 640 words
Summary: Ginny & Luna talk about magical beasts. Which is just metaphor, isn't it?
Disclaimer: Not mine & not profiting
Notes: Written for fictitious_burn as part of the fanfics_express Ginny Weasley drabble exchange. Many thanks to jtav for beta-ing the fic.

Snupin Santa Reveals & fic

The masterlist is up for Snupin Santa, so now I know that the wonderful art I received was drawn by [info]andreanna . It is Lupin/Snape/another Snape?! (ok, one of those Snapes might be Tonks) and features the hottest Snupin snog ever, plus Snape blushing delightfully whilst wearing far too many elaborate layers of clothing. Y'all should take a look (mild NWS-ness, but the link isn't direct).

I can also come clean about my first ever Snupin fic, The Inverse of Hormesis, which I wrote for [info]apythia and was really nervous about. As it turned out Snupin fans are incredibly generous people who said nice things about the fic even though it is rather cliche and contains no porn (which I'd assumed was near obligatory for Snupin, but what do I know) so I've been thrilled at the fic's reception. Thanks to all those who left comments and without further ado...

Title: The Inverse of Hormesis
Rating: R
Pairing(s): Remus/Severus, implied Remus/Sirius
Wordcount: approx 5700
Prompt: apythia requested our heroes taking shelter from a storm inside a bookshop. Also written for my 100_quills prompt 20 'weather'
Summary:
An improbable meeting in a Muggle bookshop leads Snape and Lupin to re-evaluate one another.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters & make no profit from writing about them.
Notes: Many thanks to [info]nathaniel_hp for beta-ing this fic; his very astute comments improved it greatly. The quote from Paracelsus is courtesy of Wikipedia. The explanation of hormesis (and idea for the title) are courtesy of New Scientist magazine, 9th August 2008.

It's Not Just Jokes & Chocolate

Title: It's Not Just Jokes and Chocolate
Rating:
R for innuendo
Word Count:
100
Prompt:
Hogsmeade & 'envy' for 100 Quills
Summary:
Remus hates Hogsmeade.
Disclaimer: Still not mine & not profiting.
Notes: I don't think this is one of my better drabbles, but c'est la vie. Apparently now is the winter of writing angsty RS fics.

Remus hates Hogsmeade.

It's not the place he finds offensive, but what it means when people are going to Hogsmeade together.

After much effort James is finally going with Lily, Peter with Julie, and Sirius had been to Hogsmeade with over a dozen girls – even, memorably, two on a single day.

Being abandoned thusly by one's friends is more than a fellow should have to put up with, Remus thinks, as he watches their labelled dots on the Marauders Map leave the castle.

Especially since Sirius goes to Hogsmeade – metaphorically that is, because he won't acknowledge it publicly – with Remus.

This Act of Translation

Title: This Act of Translation
Rating: R
Pairing(s): Remus/Sirius (with brief Remus/original female character & hints of other het pairings)
Summary: In which James devises yet another complex plan to get laid, Remus makes out with the wrong person and Sirius lays an ambush in the Prefect's bathroom.
Disclaimer: All Harry Potter characters herein are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No copyright infringement is intended. All characters engaging in sexual activity are 16 years or older.
Word Count: approx 4,500 words
Author's Notes: The request included school uniforms, first time, biting & wall!sex, so I tried to tick plenty of boxes ;-). Many, many thanks to x_merlin and [info]nathaniel_hp  for beta-ing this fic. It's also for my 100 Quills prompt "Temptation".

Naughty Pictures

Title: Naughty Pictures
Written for: nk aoede
Rating: NC-17 (barely)
Prompt: "naughty fun with cameras"
Summary: Harry finds a collection of pictures in Remus' trunk, but who is the anonymous man that Remus is consorting with?
Warnings: Warning for sexually explicit content.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters & make no profit from writing about them.
Notes: Thanks to [info]fullmoon_dreams for betaing & to [info]nk_aoede  for the delicious prompt. I'm also using the 100 Quills prompt 'unknown'.

Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards

Title: Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards
Rating: PG-13
Prompt: social class differences
Summary: Four winters in Remus' life, told backwards.
Warnings: swearing, Muggle politics.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters & make no profit from writing about them.
Notes: Written for [info]rose71  's prompt  "social class differences". At the end there's a slightly spoilery explanation of the historical context & slang for those unacquainted with the political history of the UK. With thanks to my betas [info]nathaniel_hp & [info]x_merlin , to Billy Bragg for the title (well, the song), and to trade unionists who not only brought us the weekend but have taught me a lot over the years. Er, I might have gone overboard with the prompt *looks sheepish*. Finally, this is also for my 100 Quills prompt "winter".

Femslash recs, part 2

I'm sneaking in another set of recs before the Yule Balls reveals later today. These four fics and one piece of art centre on a smaller range of characters than my previous set of recs, but each of the pairings is different.

Beautiful Collision (Pansy/Ginny, NC-17 - NWS)
This is a lovely, hot piece of art which shows Pansy's pug nose from canon rather than portraying an identikit pretty face. The uniform is beautifully drawn and rather sexy, but the daydream scene is even better and benefits from being drawn from an unusual angle. A must for Pansy/Ginny fans and those who like their femslash to be smutty, but I'll say again for good measure - decidedly not worksafe.

Egg-Shaped Love (Luna/Cho, NC-17)
I have a soft spot for fics which explore Cho's character and this one does an excellent job while providing just enough details about her past. Perhaps my favourite thing about the fic is the setting in China where Cho is visiting family and Luna is seeking magical beasts, and the author provides lovely details here like their discussion about instant noodles. Although there is a crack-tastic premise about Chinese fireball nests the result is a well-written and emotive first-time sex scene between older characters. A unique & delightful fic.

Unsung by hecticity (Ginny/Luna, PG)
This isn't technically a new fic, but I only found it recently. I love the exploration of Ginny's fear of the darkness and the primal comfort provided by the fire, as well as Luna's soothing and very in-character response to the problem. There's some great language in this story & a nice exploration of Buddhist meditation, but it's also a story about growing up and the balance between independence and loneliness when dealing with a difficult past.

i remember you with my soul clenched by accio_muse (Luna/Pansy, PG-13)
Again this isn't a new story, but I was struck by the pairing and wonderful use of language. Luna/Pansy isn't something I had considered much before but this story makes a lovely case for the pairing since Luna has a way with difficult, slightly dangerous creatures and Pansy is those things if nothing else. The fic shows the vulnerability and brittleness beneath Pansy's snark and Luna is strong whilst retaining her oddness, but best of all it is a story told through the details - Pansy's too-high heels, the smudge of her lipstick and quiver of her lips.

Family (Tonks gen, PG)
Technically I'm cheating by including this fic because it's gen instead of femslash, but I'm hoping nobody will mind too much. This story is a short, powerful exploration of Tonks' family & the background to her decision to become an auror and, later, to fight at Hogwarts. The fic centres around the female characters in the Black family although there is a brief heart-rending appearance by Sirius, and the wonderful narrative voice achieves the difficult task of resuscitating Tonks after JKR's mauling of the character in HBP & DH. Just - yes.

Femslash recs, part 1

Having recced only two femslash pieces from the Xmas fests thusfar (both of which were my gifts) more recs are clearly due. Luckily, there have been several wonderful femslash pieces amongst the Yule Balls and Fem Exchange fics I've read and each explores different minor pairings.</p>

There are several characteristics that my favourite femslash fics tend to share including the obvious (e.g. good writing and characterization) and less obvious traits such as strong female characters and hints of political themes. Although the fics below are very different from each other, they all share these traits and most of them provide hot, intimate smut besides. But enough rambling – onwards to the fic!

Beyond layers (Minerva/Poppy, R)
This is a lovely piece set in the era of the war against Grindelwald, or what we Muggles think of as World War Two. The fic really captures the feel of the era, from their clothing to the secrecy of war work and provides a delightful account of Minerva and Poppy's contribution to the war effort despite the fact that in the magical world, witches are not permitted to fight. Fantastic, understated writing which culminates in hot, evocative & politicised sex.

Healing (Cho/Tracey, PG)
This is the least smutty of these fics, but the exploration of these minor characters and the difficulties faced by Slytherins after the battle at Hogwarts makes it more than just fluff. The story is set in St Mungos and the atmosphere of the hospital is convincingly written as well as providing the opportunity to see smart, highly competent women at work. We get some great insights into Cho through her interactions with her friends, and the gradual development of Cho & Tracey's relationship is well handled.

Sub Rosa (Millicent/Pansy, NC-17)
This story does a fantastic job of developing Millicent's character, including both her strength and her insecurities, and shows a fascinatingly complex relationship between her and Pansy. Writing Slytherin students during the war requires a light touch, but the author writes Pansy and Millicent as engaging and vulnerable characters while retaining the self-interest and questionable politics that make them authentically Slytherin. Best of all the sex is highly emotionally significant, showing the heart-rending vulnerability of both characters before the battle.

Other Realms (Minerva/Pomona, Rosmerta/Dorcas Meadowes, also James/Sirius & Severus/Regulus, NC-17)
Not many fics combine slash and femslash pairings and it is certainly rare to see the sex written in such a varied and compelling manner, which really contributes to the characterization. Personally, I wasn't wholly convinced by the James/Sirius because I'm really fussy about that pairing, but Minerva/Pomona was wonderfully written and bittersweet, as was the hot, memorable and emotionally intense Severus/Regulus scene. Very much worth a look.
